一般现在时(do)
1.表示现在所存在的情况、状态。如：
Someone is at the door. 有人在门口。
2.表示现在瞬时的动作。这种动作此时此刻正在发生，但转瞬即逝，不具有持续性，所以不用现在进行时，而用一般现在时。这一用法通常用于表示短暂动作的动词。如：
There goes the bell. 铃响了。/Here comes the bus. 公汽来了。
3.表示现在经常性或习惯性的动作。这一用法常出现always、often、usually、every day等表示频率的副词。如：
He always drinks coffee in the morning. 他总是在早上喝咖啡。
4.表示不受时间限制的客观存在
(1)客观真理和科学事实
The earth moves round the sun. 地球围着太阳转。
(2)客观存在的情况或状态
The Yangtze River flows into the East China Sea. 长江流入东海。
(3)格言谚语
Action speaks louder than words. 事实胜于雄辩。
