屈原的故事 英语

The story of Qu Yuan, a famous patriotic poet in ancient China, is a touching story.

In the third century BC, Qu Yuan served as a senior official in the state of Chu. He was a talented and patriotic man, but he was often persecuted by other officials because of his honest and upright character. Eventually, he was exiled from the capital and lived in a remote place.

During his exile, Qu Yuan wrote many famous poems, expressing his deep love for his country and people. He was very sad about the corruption and decline of the Chu state and hoped to see his country prosperous and strong again.

However, Qu Yuan's hopes were not realized. The Chu state was eventually conquered by the state of Qin, and Qu Yuan felt extremely sad and desperate. He decided to commit suicide by jumping into the Miluo River on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month.

The people of the Chu state were very sad about Qu Yuan's death and commemorated him in many ways. They threw rice balls and other food into the river to feed the fish, hoping that they would not eat Qu Yuan's body. They also rowed boats on the river to search for Qu Yuan's body.

The story of Qu Yuan has been passed down for thousands of years and has become a symbol of patriotism and integrity in Chinese culture. His poems, such as "Li Sao" and "Tianwen", are also regarded as classics of Chinese literature.
