serve不作介词，只作动词和名词。
（1）serve sth. with sth.，serve sth. to sb.，serve sb. sth.都指给某人上菜或者端茶递水，尤其是在餐厅或在吃饭的时候。也可以用serve up。
例如：Serve it with French bread.
这个与法式面包一起上。
Serve the cakes warm.
烤饼要趁热端上来。
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
一直冷藏到准备上桌。
After all, it is no use serving up TV dinners if the kids won't eat them.
归根到底，如果孩子们不肯吃，就是端上即食快餐也没有什么用。
（2）serve sb. with sth.指给某一群人人或一地域提供某种服务或产品。serve也可以替换成provide。
例如：This could mean the closure of thousands of small businesses which serve the community.
